The Business of Design was an AMAZING class! Chock full of all of the information you need to run a design business - the real tricks of the trade, not just academic theory. I would highly recommend any newbie designer to take this class. You won't regret it!

Kami’s class was a great introduction to the nuts and bolts of how to work with clients and vendors. I had questions around billing, procedure and best practices, and she happily shared that as well as the entire process with her students from concept to install, which she streamlines and distills down based on her years of experience and her incredibly pragmatic, straightforward and fun style. She lays everything out for you. It gave me tremendous confidence in proceeding to work with my own clients (And helped to alleviate a bit of imposter syndrome 😜) I’d highly recommend her classes.

I cannot emphasize how transformative of experience this was. By day 3, I was already starting my brand new interior design business because Kami gave us THAT much knowledge and confidence to take the plunge. I’ve never taken a class outside of a traditional learning institution, so I was a bit hesitant to do so, but my goodness am I so glad I did. (I attended via Zoom). All the resources, actual examples of each step of the process for us to keep, and guest speakers were worth more than the design school price. Thank you so much Kami, from the bottom of my heart.

Five stars are not enough to rate POH. For starters, be assured is LEGIT and it will be a life changing experience. Kami has set up the content in a very intuitive way that will give you the confidence to embark yourself in this new pathway. You'll have the key to start your endeavor, as well as the support from Kami and her team, but also from the wonderful fellow peers you'll befriend during the course. POH will give you the knowledge and tools to set up and get your own interior design business running. What better way to learn but from a successful interior designer, from the experiences and insight she shares about the "job". There's no book on Earth that could teach you the insight Kami will give you during 6 unforgettable days. Oh wait! Actually there is a book! Kami's book... Stay tuned for early 2024! It has been just over a week now since this experience concluded. I wanted to thank Kami, Hailey and Alana for such a special week. Never in my wildest dreams did I see myself signing up for something like Psychologies of Home design school, but I am so glad I did. From the initial meeting with Kami and then throughout the length of the course, Kami ensured that everyone felt heard and comfortable. The content of the courses was above and beyond. I learned more than I was expecting. The amount of information and engagement has set more than just a foundation for my future and I am so grateful. I look forward to continuing the connections that were made during this time. Amazing class! Kami gives you all that you need to be successful in interior design. Kami taught me so much more than the business of interior design, she taught me how important it is to be myself and that I have a unique gift to bring to the world. I had been dreaming of starting a design business for more than 3 years, but was continually stalled out by my own fears around my lack of design experience and intimidated by all that's involved in owning a business. The Psychologie of Home Design School was exactly what I needed to change my mindset and gain practical skills! Kami instilled confidence in each one of her students by not only teaching us what we need to know, but through her encouragement, passion for design, & her business savvy! After spending the first half of my career in education, I was incredibly impressed by how well Kami designed the curriculum to engage every learning style - each day was engaging as well as inspirational. I took the Design School Course in June. It was AMAZING! I knew I'd learn a lot from just talking to Kami initially and reviewing the schedule, but I was so wowed by just how much detail I learned, how there was an opportunity to practice with new tools and get guidance, and how I came away with such confidence that I could move forward successfully. Beyond that, the production of the class was perfect down to the details - keeping everyone in-person and on Zoom able to learn together and collaborate is no easy feat. It felt like a ton of planning went into every detail of the schedule, the guest speakers, and the behind the scenes of it all as well. Super glad I took this course and can't want to put everything Kami taught me into action.

I am so glad that I took the leap and did this! I followed Kami's Instagram for a while and as I was hitting a wall in my career due to major burnout, I started to notice her posts about Design school. I scheduled a call with her and even before the call I tried to talk myself out of it a few times. After I had my Zoom call with Kami-I left real estate probably about 2 weeks later and have been on an exciting journey to finally chase my dreams! I went to college for Interior Design, but I graduated in 2006 and never fully pursued that career. I had a few sales jobs in the industry after college and as the economy turned, I got my real estate license and sold real estate for 12.5 years. I chose this route because I was never brave enough to follow my true passions to have my OWN interior design business. Thanks to the timing of learning about Kami's design school, and committing to come in person-I am FINALLY ready to do what I have always wanted to do----and I feel more ready now than I ever would have from my design degree in college. What she has created for educating interior designers is an ABSOLUTE GIFT! I encourage anyone who is on the fence to GET OUT OF THEIR OWN WAY and just do it for yourself. It is worth it!!

It is an Incredible week of connection, learning, strategizing, and doing. The classes are thoughtfully organized, actionable and her creative space has the best energy for learning. I left with so many tools to start my business plus a community of new friends. It’s hard to describe this incredible week with words. Kami is awe-inspiring and shared an astonishing amount of knowledge, in just six days, which is kind of hard to imagine. Part design expert, part motivational guru, she covered all pillars to the foundation of starting a successful interior design business, not withholding any of her secrets! I didn’t think it was possible to start a new career, later in life, but this course sparked confidence and an enthusiasm that I didn’t even know existed. The women that were drawn together, because of Kami’s awesome energy, are a new-found flock of friends with whom I have bonded. I cannot say enough about how special this week was for me. Hailey & Alana were also the best support; equally kind and caring. They are true birds of a feather, which is no surprise. I cannot thank each of you enough, for this incredible school and for inspiring me to start this new chapter!

I learned more (and laughed more) than I could have ever imagined in one short week. I feel absolutely equipped and inspired to build my own successful and lucrative business. The Psychologie of Home Design School was one of the most amazing courses I've ever taken. From start to finish, the class was filled with valuable insights and practical tips that I could immediately apply to my own design business. Never threw my money at a course so fast. Kami is the real deal. Easiest 6 days straight of all-day Zoom meetings humanly possible (but still envious of those who could make it in person because it looked like the best learning environment ever.) She cuts right to the chase while keeping it engaging and inspiring. So much industry gold packed into 6 days. She's magnetic and is a great example of what's possible if you put your mind to something.
